We are a Social Assistance institution focused on fun and brotherhood.
The ancient Arab Order of the Nobles of the mystic Shrine, was founded on September 26, 1872, Abou Saad in a word of Arabic origin that means good luck the same that for 100 years has been offered to hundreds of Panamanian children, without distinction Due to their place of origin, social class, sex or religion, they have been benefited by the health program of Shriners hospitals for children in North America.
The Shriners of Abou saad were established in the Republic of Panama as a philanthropic entity in 1918, 100 years ago and since then we have worked to improve the quality of life of children with orthopedic problems, spinal column, cerebral palsy in the motor part , bone diseases (crystal children), juvenile idiopathic arthritis, as well as cases of scoliosis and severe burns. The Fraternity of nearly 200 Temples, what started as a single hospital is now a globally recognized healthcare system with 22 locations in three countries.
The care we provide in Abou Saad as well as their families, at all times of their treatment up to 18 years of age, that is, until they are of legal age, is free, comprehensive and personalized and involves the active participation of children and young people, So since opening the doors of our first hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 1922, Shriners Hospitals for Children has become one of the best pediatric specialty health care systems in the world. And since then, our nobles have worked tirelessly to raise awareness of their beloved philanthropy and reach as many children and families as possible.
